Extended Returns Policy during Holiday Season
For the 2024 holiday season, items purchased between November 22nd and December 31st can be returned until January 31st, 2025.
ORDER PROCESS
As soon as your watch has been shipped, you will be informed via email. If necessary, please check your SPAM folder. With the tracking number in it, you can track the progress of the shipment at any time.
From an order value of CHF 60, delivery is free. If the order value is less than CHF 60, a shipping fee of CHF 7.90 will be charged.
Products purchased from www.mondaine.ch are only shipped within Switzerland.
Your order will be shipped within 1 - 3 working days.
Due to the short time between order processing and shipping, we can unfortunately no longer cancel or change the order data after the order has been placed.
If we are unable to deliver the goods you have ordered within 30 days of the order date confirmed by us, you can cancel the order free of charge and be entitled to a full refund.
At the moment the goods are received, you are obliged to check the shipment for completeness and correctness. Missing, defective or damaged products must be reported to us in writing immediately after delivery.
Please note that we do not issue refunds for non-arrived orders that are deemed delivered. For this reason we ask you to use a secure shipping address.
No. Please understand that the subsequent redemption of discount codes is not possible. The goods value and code should be verified before payment.
PAYMENT
With us you can pay conveniently and securely with your credit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Diners Club credit cards. Payment must be made before the products are delivered. Your credit card will be charged for the total amount owed shortly before the products are shipped. We may delay delivery of the Products until full payment has been received.
Your credit card data will be transmitted in encrypted form using the SSL method. Thanks to this high security standard, shopping at Mondaine by credit card is safe. You don't need any additional software for this. Both customers who are already registered and those who are not yet registered are automatically forwarded to their bank's website via the payment process. To complete the order, please follow the steps given there.
If you select payment via PayPal, you will be forwarded directly to PayPal at the end of the ordering process.
If you are already a PayPal customer, you can log in there with your user data and make the payment. New to PayPal? Then you can log in as a guest or open a PayPal account and then confirm the payment.
The incoming payment is usually booked by us within a few minutes and your order will be processed immediately.
The monthly statement will be sent to you directly by PowerPay . The invoice is always generated at the beginning of the month following the completion of the order. You will receive this by mail around the middle of the following month. For example, if the order is completed on February 1st, 2022, you will receive the invoice on around March 15th, 2020.
In the case of a purchase against an invoice, the invoiced amount must be paid to the account of our external partner, PowerPay, stated on the invoice by the due date stated on the invoice at the latest. The payment method on account requires, among other things, a successful credit check by PowerPay.
In the case of a purchase against invoice, the payment is processed by PowerPay, to which we assign our purchase price claim from the purchase contract. In this case you can only pay to PowerPay with debt-discharging effect. We remain responsible for general customer inquiries (e.g. about the goods, delivery time, shipment), returns, complaints, cancellation declarations and shipments or credit notes. With regard to payment processing with PowerPay, their general terms and conditions apply.
With your iPhone or Apple Watch, you can use Apple Pay in our online stores. Check the apple website for additional instructions.
RETURN / EXCHANGE
If you receive an incorrect item or a defective item, please email webshop@mondaine.com within 14 days of receipt of the watch. Mondaine accepts no responsibility for returns/exchanges that are lost or stolen in transit to our returns center. So please send insured.
As a customer, you are entitled to revoke your declaration of intent to conclude a contract within 14 days of receipt of the goods in text form (e.g. letter, email, fax) or by returning the goods without giving reasons. The period begins on the day the goods are received by the recipient.
Please enter your return in our returns portal and receive all return instructions by email.
The customer bears the burden of proof for the return of the goods. If you revoke the contract, you have the goods (including all other items that were included in the shipment to you) together with the proof of purchase undamaged immediately and in any case at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which you informed us of the revocation of the contract to send back or hand over to us. The deadline is met if you send off the goods before the period of fourteen days has expired. If you cancel the contract under these terms and return the goods, we will refund you the price paid within 14 days of the day we receive the returned products, in the same way that you paid . If not all of the items included in the shipment are returned, or if the watch is not in its original condition (i.e. it has been used beyond verification of condition and functionality or has been damaged), we are entitled to charge for the missing items or to replace the damaged parts of deduct from the price refund.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to contracts for the delivery of goods that are not prefabricated and the production of which is an individual selection or determination by the consumer or which are clearly tailored to the personal needs of the consumer.
GUARANTEE
All Mondaine watches have been carefully checked and are in perfect working condition. It is warranted, by the company shown on the back of the certificate, for a period of two years from the date of purchase.
Your watch is guaranteed against any manufacturing defect for 2 years from the date of purchase, provided you purchased the watch from an authorized Mondaine retailer. Damage caused by normal or extreme use of the watch is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Items excluded from the warranty include the battery, crystal, bracelet, winding stem and crown, as well as damage from normal, extreme or improper use.
Please refer to the warranty card and booklet that you received from the retailer. When sending the watch to an official service center, please enclose the guarantee card, which is only valid if the shop, date of purchase and a dealer's stamp are legible. If the watch was not purchased from an authorized Mondaine dealer, it will be void the repair in the "grey market" category. This means the warranty is void and you will be billed for repairs even if they are actually covered by the warranty.
SERVICE AND REPAIR
Like any precision device, a watch needs regular maintenance to keep it working properly. How often it has to be serviced depends on the model, the climate and how carefully the owner treats his watch. As a rule of thumb, we recommend a full service every three to four years, depending on how the watch is used.

TECHNICAL QUESTIONS
A battery can last anywhere from two to ten years, depending on the type of watch, the capacity of the battery, the size and weight of the hands, and the amount of energy used to power the various functions of the movement. For example, a chronograph uses more energy than a watch that only displays hours and minutes. Some Mondaine watches give a signal when the battery is almost empty: as soon as the seconds hand jumps every 4 seconds, it is time to have the battery replaced by a Mondaine-certified watchmaker. Even once this stage is reached, the clock will continue to function for one to three weeks before stopping completely. Please note that the battery is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
Mondaine watches are built and tested to 30 meters water resistance, as indicated on the case back. The water resistance rating of a watch does not take into account the ability of the watch to STAY water resistant as it ages. Therefore, the water resistance of a watch cannot be permanently guaranteed. It may be affected by aging of gaskets or by accidental shock to the crown or pusher. Do not under any circumstances open the watch by yourself.
Make sure not to activate the time setting crown and/or pushers while the watch is under water and make sure that the crown has been pushed in.
Quartz movement:
The typical rate deviation of a quartz movement is between -0.5 and +0.7 seconds per day. External influences such as shocks or sudden changes in temperature can affect the accuracy of a quartz movement.
Mechanical movement:
The accuracy of the watch depends on the movement and the habits of the wearer and can therefore vary greatly. The average rate deviation is between -10 and +40 seconds per day.
The materials we use at Mondaine are carefully tested to avoid allergic reactions. For customers who are sensitive to stainless steel, we recommend titanium or synthetic watches
Depending on use and wear and tear, leather straps typically last between 6 and 18 months. The hygiene aspect must also be considered, because the leather strap is exposed to your sweat, bacteria and dirt every day. We therefore recommend replacing the leather strap at least every 18 months.
Your timepiece has been carefully checked during the manufacturing in our state-of-the-art cleanroom (a humidity, temperature, and dust controlled assembly facility) and it is in excellent working condition when it leaves our Swiss factory. To keep it in its best condition, we recommend the following care and maintenance guidelines, and periodic maintenance or servicing by one of our authorized Mondaine International Service Organization (MISO) service centers, which you can find on our website www.mondaine.com
CLEANING
Please regularly rinse your watch in clean, fresh water to remove any sediment or other material that may accumulate on the watch during use. This is especially important after each immersion in salt water.
CRYSTALS
Mondaine watches are made with heat tempered mineral or sapphire crystals, depending on the specific model. Sapphire crystals are highly scratch resistant. A cracked, chipped, or loose crystal should be replaced immediately, as it may lead to water resistance or fogging issues.
